In search for the perfect drink, we didn’t have to roam very far: Someday Lounge’s gentleman bartender, Zack Dellorto, waved us down for a Pear Ginger Hot Toddy and a tip or two for creating our own at home. With temperatures dropping and the wind picking up, this drink is the quintessential coziness that we all crave. “Hot Toddies take the edge off and make you feel nice and warm,” says Zack.

If you’re not ready to craft one at home, try it at Someday first, take some tasting notes, and ask for a pointer or two, especially from Zack (you’ll know him by the long hair). And, when you’re ready to take it home-side, here’s the recipe he concocted just for us:

Pear Ginger Hot Toddy

2 oz Jameson’s Irish Whiskey

1 tsp. honey

2 tbsps. Culinary Traditions Pear Puree

1 cinnamon stick

2 lemon wedges, squeezed

Ginger

Garnish with one clove-adorned lemon wedge and cinnamon stick

To Mix:

Pair the cinnamon stick with honey, then add hot water. Mix.

Add the Pear Puree and lemon juice.

Time for the Jameson’s: pour.

Grate the ginger over the drink, garnish with the clove-adorned lemon.

Enjoy
