Featured Good Eats Imbibe — 06 December 2013

The colder months usually see us taking in some culture. Whether some great theater or our (very underrated) symphony), we find ourselves in the south park blocks with something stimulating on the agenda and a very long back-and-forth on where to dine before or after the evenings event. Don’t get us wrong, there some great dining options, but typically those restaurants will take you the whole evening to get through.

Enter Bistro Marquee. A small-ish space that seemingly intends to fill the void for that “quick bite and cocktail” before (or after) your engagement, it manages to accomplish its mission while transcending the expectations therein. For instance, the chef has pedigree (having cut his teeth at Screen Door), and whomever is at the helm of curating the cocktail options is also an obvious pro. The trick to providing quick (and excellent service) while providing a substantial and quality meal/drink experience is, well, tricky. Bistro Marquee deftly pulls it off.

Throw in an incredible patio outside for people watching and you have the makings of a place that just might pull you back to dine in every season.
